Dry Run Creek, located next to the Norfork National Fish Hatchery in Arkansas, is a haven for families looking to introduce their children to the joys of trout fishing. The creek’s easy access, gentle current, and abundant fish population make it a perfect place for a kid-friendly fishing experience.

A truly special fishing experience for young anglers

Dry Run Creek is produced from the outflow of the adjoining Norfork National Fish Hatchery. This short stretch of nutrient-rich water has an excellent trout population, and it has been set aside as a special catch-and-release stream for children under 16 and for properly licensed disabled anglers.

Dry Run Creek is well stocked with large rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout. Only artificial lures with a single, barbless hook may be used. Fishing is from sunrise to sunset only, and adults must accompany their children.
